Humulin M 70/30 100 IU/mL is a sterile, aqueous suspension of human insulin isophane (NPH) and biosynthetic recombinant human insulin. It is used to treat people with diabetes mellitus. Humulin M 70/30 is a mixture of NPH insulin (a long-acting insulin) and Regular human insulin (a short-acting insulin). It enables the maintenance of near-normal glucose levels with less risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level). It should be injected subcutaneously (under the skin). It is supplied in a 10 mL vial that contains 1000 units of insulin.
